Tauranga

Having arrived in Tauranga we have decided to momentarily settle
and find an income source before carrying on. We currently reside in
Harbourside City Backpackers and I must say, i am enjoying it. There is
free internet, however skype doesnt work which is kind of a pain. Paid
internet is $5 an hour and i believe skype works on that. Around the
corner is an esquires coffee shop, which provides free internet with the
purchase of a coffee... which coincidentally is about 4 dollars... hmmmm....

Yesterday I got my hair cut. Short. Very Short. Its quite the
change but I think I like it.

I think I am going to like this town, its not too big and its
filled with skateboard/surf stores, cafes and restaurants. Parking is
cheap, with day rates from 2.50 to 5.50 depending on location, and many
free parking spots close by. People seem friendly, the weather is sunny
and warm (not as warm as the northland, but still in the 20's) we have a
wonderful waterfront view.
